Objectives of the MEA Internship Program
The primary objectives of this internship program are:
- To provide an enriching learning experience for aspiring diplomats and international relations professionals.
- To expose interns to the functioning of the Ministry of External Affairs and its various departments.
- To enhance the understanding of India’s foreign policy and international relations.
- To promote gender diversity and inclusivity within the Ministry.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
- Age Limit: Maximum 25 years of age as on the date of application.
- Educational Qualification:
- Graduates from a recognized university.
- Students in the final year of their undergraduate program are also eligible to apply.
Application Process
- Online Registration: Visit the official MEA website and register for an online account.
- Fill Application Form: Complete the online application form with accurate personal and academic details.
- Upload Documents: Upload necessary documents such as:
- Marksheet of the last examination
- Age proof (e.g., Aadhaar Card, PAN Card)

Selection Process
The selection process will consist of two stages:
- Preliminary Screening: Applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria and academic qualifications.

- The program will follow a quota system, considering applicants from 14 states and 4 Union Territories in each term.
